Post-Settlement Services

Assisted Administration Services

The Assisted Administration Services Program is a post-settlement service that claimants can utilize to assist in the self-administration of their set-aside funds.

Mismanagement of a Set-Aside Allocation, intentional or otherwise, can lead to forfeiture of future Medicare benefits and possible litigation. G&L has evaluated all these factors and created a program to reduce claimant’s fears and urge them towards settlement in the form of our Assisted Administration Services (AAS). AAS is an advanced program designed specifically to aide claimants in the self-administration of their set-aside accounts and provides technical support to ensure proper reimbursement of their medical payments as they relate to compensable injuries.

Upon enrolling in G&L’s Assisted Administration Services, the claimant will be supplied with a Welcome Kit detailing the program and providing a complete set of instructions for use. After a claimant is issued a bill for medical services, the claimant can call G&L and speak with a live representative that will work through the bill with them and determine the proper amount to pay. By reviewing the CPT codes taken directly from the Physician’s bills, our representatives will provide accurate instructions on what the claimant needs to pay and how much should be paid from the set-aside fund.

Gould & Lamb will never handle any of the claimant’s money. We simply analyze the bills and provide the claimant with instructions for the proper reimbursement guidelines. As a carrier, TPA, or Self-Insured entity, utilizing G&L’s AAS, you will have shown due diligence and provided the claimant with adequate support to handle their Set-Aside funds. The AAS can be used in lump sum or annuity settlements and can be purchased in varying time increments based upon your needs.

Discount Drug Program (DDP)

The Discount Drug Program is a cost free service that allows claimants access to prescription drugs at discounts below average wholesale price.

The inclusion of prescription drugs in Medicare Set-Asides adds new complexities to settlements with high Rx components. The insurance industry needed a simple and efficient method for filling prescriptions post-settlement. Gould & Lamb has developed a Discount Drug Program (DDP) that allows claimants to continue to fill their current medications post-settlement at rates below Average Wholesale Price. This free service gives claimants the option of filling their prescriptions at over 60,000 pharmacies nationwide or by mail.

The DDP is simple in form and function. Claimants are enrolled in the program and use proprietary web based software to order their prescriptions. Claimants then have the option of filling prescriptions either at their local pharmacy or enjoy greater discounts by filling their scripts by mail. Providing these discounts to claimants over their life expectancy increases the chance that your current settlement dollars will adequately cover costs associated with prescription drugs.
