Drug Management Services
The Drug Management Service is a comprehensive review of the current prescription drug regimen designed for active, open cases with high dollar prescription costs due to over utilization, drug abuse or the absence of a clear medical pharmacotherapy treatment plan. The report consists of a Pharmacist or Pain Management Specialist’s narrative outlining the treatment course and prior drug utilization history. Our team can develop an accurate, justifiable and defensible prescription drug treatment plan at the lowest possible cost. The current medication regimen versus the recommended prescription drug plan with medical, pharmacotherapy and clinical justifications are provided in the report and clearly outlined in a side by side comparative spreadsheet.
As a feature of our Tier II service, Gould & Lamb will contact the current treating provider and review the report for their endorsement resulting in an immediate reduction in the cost of the claim file, representing a substantial real-time claim savings.
