Medicare Set-Aside (MSA) Allocation
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services recommends a Medicare Set-Aside Allocation with submission for approval in cases involving a qualified claimant. Ask your Gould & Lamb representative about which settlements involve qualified claimants or use our FREE Willins tool to assess your risks.
The preparation of a Medicare Set-Aside is a complex and challenging process. Our experience leads to decreased settlement costs, lowest defensible set-aside amounts, and quick turnaround times. Gould & Lamb is the industry innovator in leader with solutions that assist our clients in navigating the Medicare system.Â
Gould & Lamb offers tiered or custom pricing schedules on our MSA Allocations. All Gould & Lamb MSA Allocation include the following FREE services: Legal Analysis, Physician Sign-Off, Obtaining Releases, Rated Ages, Medicare/Social Security Status, COBC Notification, Conditional Payment Research, 2 hours of Conditional Payment Negotiation, Settlement Document assistance, and Annuity Funding Analysis.
Prescription Drug Review (PDR)
Do you want to save an average of $5,500/year on annual medication costs?
That's the average savings our clients experience when a PDR is request on cases that qualify. Our PDR focuses on chronic pain cases with substantial Rx exposure and provides a comprehensive review by our team of experts who specialize in the latest pharmacotherapy treatments. If our PDR doesn't yield a savings, the fee is waived. You simply can't lose.Â
CMSÂ Submission
Completing the MSA Allocation is just the first step of the process. Gould & Lamb's experts know how to navigate the complex Medicare system to secure CMS approval of your settlement in a timely manner. We coordinate with all parties to ensure a complete and accurate submission. Should CMS disagree with our proposal, we will defend the allocation free of charge. Ask your Gould & Lamb representative about our Settlement Worksheet, an innovative tool that can reduce your CMS turnaround time by months.Â
Medicare/Social Security Verification
Do you need to know a claimant's Medicare/Social Security status? Absolutely. Gould & Lamb can verify your claimant's beneficiary status so that you can determine the proper course of action in settling your cases. If an MSA is later obtained from Gould & Lamb the fee for the Medicare/Social Security Verification is credited back to the MSA Allocation fees.
Conditional Payment Research and Negotiation
If a claimant is Medicare eligible, did Medicare make any payments that are your responsibility? Gould & Lamb can quickly and accurately research this and determine exactly what you must resolve with Medicare. This service is included free of charge when you request our MSA Allocation service or for a fixed fee as a stand-alone product. We also offer Conditional Payment Negotiation Services that can save you thousands of dollars when resolving liens during the settlement process.
Professional Administration Service (PAS)
Managing MSA funds post-settlement can be an overwhelming experience for the claimant and may discourage them from entering into a settlement. That's why Gould & Lamb created the PAS. Gould & Lamb reviews the claimant's bills, issues payment instructions to the claimant, and provides the annual reporting information for CMS, but with one key difference: we don't hold the claimant's money. The fees for this service are tiered and available in yearly increments up to the lifetime of the claimant.Â
